Award granted by the Alternative Investment Market in London
SQS Software Quality Systems is
International Company of the Year 2008
Cologne, 22th October 2008 – SQS Software Quality Systems AG has been crowned this year’s International Company of the Year by the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM). According to the AIM, SQS was given the award because of the company’s “consistent top performance”.
The award has been presented on an annual basis since 1996, and honours companies listed on the AIM which have their head office outside the United Kingdom. In collaboration with the main London Stock Exchange (LSE) and the management consultants PricewaterhouseCoopers, the AIM chose SQS from a list of over 600 candidates. The jury was made up of 19 fund managers and financial market analysts.
SQS CEO Rudolf van Megen was presented with the award at the celebratory AIM Awards Dinner in London on 16 October 2008. “As the first German company with a first listing on the AIM we are particularly pleased to be given this award”, commented van Megen. “Since we were admitted in 2005 we have been able to double our market capitalisation. We are looking forward to further successful cooperation with the AIM.”
